There’s something about the North Shore that just lives in your bones after a while. The way Lake Superior shifts moods with the weather, how the trees burn bright every October and then surrender to the snow—it all feels like magic. As someone who’s rooted in nature and obsessed with all things hair, I’ve found that the colors, textures, and flow of this landscape show up in my work all the time. Duluth is more than my home; it’s a moodboard for every lived-in look I create.
I specialize in lived-in color because I believe hair should evolve naturally, just like the seasons. Think earthy blondes that mimic sunlit birch bark, soft caramels like dried leaves underfoot, and dimensional brunettes that remind me of the rocks lining Gooseberry Falls. Hair doesn’t have to be loud to be beautiful—it can be effortless, low-maintenance, and still give luxury vibes. I want my clients to feel like their hair belongs to them, not something they constantly have to fight to maintain.
When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll usually find me hiking the trails with my two huskies, Moka and Latté, or chasing waterfalls with a messy braid and a backpack full of snacks. Nature is the one place I feel fully grounded and fully inspired. That quiet stillness in the middle of nowhere—yeah, I bring that same energy into my salon space. My goal is to create hair that flows as freely as you do, whether you’re heading to a wedding or wandering the shoreline barefoot.
I work out of a historic, eco-luxe salon in downtown Duluth, and I love that I get to blend modern beauty with vintage soul. Everything in my space—from the products I use to the energy I put into each appointment—is chosen with intention. Sustainability is a big part of who I am, both in my lifestyle and my craft. I want every person who sits in my chair to feel good not just about how they look, but about how their beauty choices impact the planet.
So if you’re someone who’s looking for hair that wears well with your lifestyle—hair that grows out gracefully, that feels like it’s you even three months later—let’s connect. Whether you’re a fellow nature girl, a downtown creative, or just want to experience beauty that feels like home, I’m here for it. And hey, I might even tell you my favorite secret trail if you ask nicely. 😉
With love, old soul roots and hairspray-
